Definition

Indicates the date of the first complementary indemnity date. This date can relate to either of the following:

  • Date when the system of unemployment (SUC/ SUIC) begins
  • Date from which the employee is eligible to receive a complementary indemnity payment
    For example, for Canada Drys, the eligibility date can be earlier than the first date of the complementary indemnity payment

Use

You use this field to record either the first payment date or the eligibility date. This date is used for payroll calculations and subsequent DmfA reporting.

Valid dates are restricted as follows:

  • For an SUC employee, the payment date must occur on or after March 1, 1995
  • For an SUIC employee who is unemployed or who has a career interruption, the date must occur on or after January 1, 2006

Note that the date of the first indemnity payment can be different to the validity date for the indemnity definition infotype record.

Dependencies

The value of this field is retrieved by the DmfA (RPCDMFB0) report for further processing and is stored in the First Complementary Indemnity Date (00823) field of the electronic DmfA file.

The Age at CI date field uses the date to automatically determine the age of the employee at the first complementary indemnity date.
