Definition

Specifies whether an adjustment applies for the complementary indemnity amount and/ or social welfare benefit amount.

Use

You use this field to indicate the type of adjustment that applies to the indemnity and/or social welfare benefit amount, as follows:

  • If the indemnity and/or social welfare benefit amount changes during the quarter (due to indexation, revaluation or another modification), then you must declare the change using this field.
  • If no amount change has been recorded or the change occurred at the beginning of the quarter, you leave this field blank.

A complementary indemnity / social welfare benefit amount refers to a monthly amount. Note, that if an adjustment reason other than zero is selected, the adjustment is valid only during a quarter, that is, the adjustment reason applies only for a minimum of one month and a maximum of two months.

After a change has been made, you need to check and update the adjustment reason at the beginning of the following quarter.

Dependencies

The value of this field is retrieved by the DmfA (RPCDMFB0) report for further processing and is stored in the Comp Indemnity Amount Adjust Notion (00829) field of the electronic DmfA file.

Example

Consider the following example of complementary indemnity amounts in the first quarter:

  • In January, the CI amount is EUR 300 and is not subject to any adjustment (reason 0).
  • In February, the CI amount is changed to EUR 350 due to indexation (reason 1).
  • In March, the CI amount remains EUR 350, however, the indexation adjustment reason applied in February no longer applies for April (remember, the adjustment reason is only valid during a quarter and therefore only applies for a maximum of two months). As a result, you must change the adjustment reason for April to zero.
