Definition
Tax year for which annual statutory reports are produced
The tax year determines the timeframe for which you would like to run an appropriate report.
Each tax year starts on January 1st and ends on December 31st. The tax year you refer to when starting the payroll is not necessarily the same tax year you refer to when talking about annual statutory reports. (That is, 01/2001 standing for the period 01.01.2002 - 31.01.2002 for a monthly payroll but it is for tax year 2001.)
Please note that in Ireland we had a chnage of the definition of the tax year effetcive 01.01.2002. Prior to this date tax years started on April 6th and ended on March 31st the following year. The new EOY reports only operate for tax year 2002 and later.

By selecting a tax year you define the timeframe for which data is read from the database. Once you choose a tax year, you will notice that the field Person selection period appears and is filled. You can not enter the selection period directly.
