The entry in this field describes the status of the area of expertise indicated in the employee record of the Certification and Licensing infotype (0795).
In Customizing for Payroll USA (PY-US), you configure these designations by choosing Supplements Public Sector US -> Certification and Licensing -> Settings -> Define Status for Certificates/Licenses and Areas. The entries in this field are assigned exclusively to status level A.
Example
Among other uses, the entries in this field enable you to monitor the renewal process of employee certificates or licenses within areas of expertise. Valid entries in this field could include Expired, Pending, To be renewed, or Renewed.
