Documentation
Definition
Defines the tax authority to which the residence withholding taxes shall be remitted.
Use
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (PA) has determined by means of the PA Act 32 that, for employees residing and working in Pennsylvania, the employee's withholding tax shall always be remitted to the work tax authority with the highest withholding tax rate.
However, in the Work Tax Area (0208) infotype you can create more than one record and the records will have different tax areas. In this case you must define in the Predominant Tax Area (P10_PRWTAR) field which one is predominant.
The value of the Predominant Tax Area (P10_PRWTAR) field determines how the system fills in the Predominant Tax Authority (P10_PRWTA) field in the TAX and TAXPR tables.
The predominant tax authority is then displayed in this field (Remittance Tax Authority).
Dependencies
The Remittance Evaluation Run (RPURME00) report reads this field to remit the residence withholding tax to the corresponding work tax authority.
If you do not use the SAP standard solution to remit the taxes, you must make sure your solution considers this remittance tax authority.
