Definition
Defines if a work tax authority is predominant.
This field is only relevant for employees who live and work in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (PA) and do not work in their residence tax area.
This field is not relevant for employees who reside or work in Philadelphia.
Use
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (PA) has determined by means of the PA Act 32 that, for employees residing and working in Pennsylvania, the employee's Earned Income Tax (EIT) must always be remitted to the employee's work Tax Collection District (TCD).
If the residence tax authority is a Pennsylvania locality, the EIT shall always be remitted to the predominant work tax authority.
This field is filled in based on the entry you make in the Predominant Tax Area (P10_PRWTAR) field of the Work Tax Area (0208) infotype, following the criteria below:
- If no tax area is defined as predominant, the system defines the first work tax authority found as predominant.
- If the tax area defined as predominant has more than one tax authority, the system defines the predominant tax authority in the following order of precedence:
