Definition
This field contains the low watermark of the absence pool at hand. Once the balance of the absence pool falls below this amount, no further withdrawals from the pool are permitted. In such cases, to ensure that the balance of the absence pool rises above the low watermark, some organizations may request that each absence pool participant contribute additional leave.
Use
Specify in this field the low watermark for the absence pool at hand.
Examples
Suppose that you have set a low watermark of 200 hours for the absence pool at hand, and suppose that the current balance of the absence pool is 210 hours.
Now suppose that an employee wishes to withdraw 24 hours from the absence pool. In this case, the system will issue an error message, because such a withdrawal would cause the balance of the absence pool to fall below the established low watermark of 200 hours.
