Definition
File Required has a dual purpose: to generate a particular file or to generate a record of a file. In the case of a file, either the status CPDF file or the dynamic CPDF file may be generated; in the case of a record, a dynamic CPDF file record may be created and stored.
Procedure
The status and dynamic files and the dynamic record that may be generated follow the respective formats prescribed by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
The status file provides a file of the status of relevant employees in the time period or the payroll period that is requested.
The dynamic file provides a file of all Nature of Actions performed on relevant employees in the time period or the payroll period that is requested.
The dynamic record creates a record of data pertaining to a Nature of Action in the 100 series set of actions. This dynamic record created may be viewed by using the dynamic file option.
