Documentation
When used in Nature of Action Processing, the Action is a combination of infotype fields that are all to be considered within a single change. For US Federal use, the Action is linked to CPDF (Central Personnel Data File) generation, if the Nature of Action infotype is included in the Action and the Action is flagged to be CPDF reportable.

The Crediting Plan code is used to identify the particular Crediting Plan used to evaluate, rate and rank applicants for a specific position. The Crediting Plan is the primary ranking tool that is developed by the hiring manager and an HR specialist. Its components are brief level definitions of the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) that are described in the Job Announcement.

Action Number
Definition
The action number identifies the Nature of Action performed on an employee.
Use
The action number must be entered when a dynamic record is to be created (that is, in the case the File Required is the dynamic record). The dynamic record is created only when a nature of action in the 100 series set of actions has been performed on an employee.
Example
Suppose nature of action 100 has been performed on an employee. Then the action number is 0100.
