Definition

The pension type is used to define the general functions of a pension.

With a pension type you determine:

• Whether employee or employer contributions are allowed for the pension.
• Whether it is a case of a normal private pension or additional contributions for the Labor market pension.
• Whether the system should evaluate the pension as a tax free equity pension during payroll.
• Which wage type should be generated. This is determined when the pension is processed in payroll accounting.

You can also enter default values for the remaining fields in the pension type which can be copied when you choose a new pension type, as long as the relevant fields of the infotype are empty at the time.
