Definition

Selecting 'X' as the return value for the feature GOFFM implies that the amount of OMP that is offset against SMP is maximised for all rates of SMP.

Selecting 'U' as the return value for the feature GOFFM implies that the amount of OMP that is offset against SMP is maximised for only the Upper rate of SMP.

Selecting 'L' as the return value for the feature GOFFM implies that the amount of OMP that is offset against SMP is maximised for only the Lower rate of SMP.

i.e. if OMP is £100 and SMP is a £120 Upper Rate Week and Full Pay is £100 then maximising the offset has no effect as the full amount of OMP must be offset to avoid overpaying the employee. So £0 OMP is paid and £120 SMP is paid.

i.e. if OMP is £100 and SMP is a £62.20 Lower Rate Week and Full Pay is £100 then maximising the offset has no effect as the full amount of SMP is offset. So £37.80 OMP is paid and £62.20 SMP is paid.

i.e. if OMP is £100 and SMP is a £62.20 Lower Rate Week and Full Pay is £100 then minimising the offset has no effect as the full amount of SMP is offset. So £37.80 OMP is paid and £62.20 SMP is paid.

i.e. if OMP is £100 and SMP is a £62.20 Lower Rate Week and Full Pay is £200 then maximising the offset has no effect as the full amount of SMP is offset. So £37.80 OMP is paid and £62.20 SMP is paid.

i.e. if OMP is £100 and SMP is a £62.20 Lower Rate Week and Full Pay is £200 then minimising the offset has a huge effect as no SMP is offset. So £100 OMP is paid and £62.20 SMP is paid.

i.e. if OMP is £50 and SMP is a £62.20 Lower Rate Week and Full Pay is £100 then maximising the offset has no effect as the maximum amount of OMP is offset. So £0 OMP is paid and £62.20 SMP is paid.

i.e. if OMP is £50 and SMP is a £62.20 Lower Rate Week and Full Pay is £100 then minimising the offset has no effect as the maximum amount of OMP is offset. So £0 OMP is paid and £62.20 SMP is paid.

i.e. if OMP is £0 and SMP is a £62.20 Lower Rate Week and Full Pay is £100 then maximising the offset has no effect as none of the SMP must be offset as the employee must receive SMP. So £0 OMP is paid and £62.20 SMP is paid.
