Definition
The bar point level serves to define a maximum pay scale level of an employee.
During the reclassification process, for example on infotype 'Basic Pay' (0008) or via report Pay Scale Reclassification the system checks the proposed pay scale information against a maximum pay scale level which can be held in infotype 'Bar Point Information' (0648).
If the new pay scale level is above the employee's bar point he will be rejected from the reclassification.
