Definition

Tax Reference identifying a registration of an employer with the Inland Revenue.

This field reflects a combination of tax district number and tax district indicator, which you have entered in the table Tax District With Reference Details (V_T5G52).

All tax references you have defined in your system will be listed and are assigned a sequential number. This sequential number is to be chosen according to which tax reference you would like to produce legal reports.

Note: If you only have one tax reference in your organisation, always enter 01.

The system derives all those payroll areas that belong to this one tax reference and fills the selection parameters for payroll area with these payroll areas derived from the tax reference.

If you wish to create tax reference base reports [that is, End-Of-Year (EOY)], you need to consider all of those payroll areas in order to make up the number for your tax reference. Thus you are not able to manipulate the payroll areas unless you clear this field. (This in return would prevent those reports from running in a production run but rather as a test run).

If an employee has changed tax references within the year, only those periods they were in the entered reference will be considered.
