Documentation
Definition
This is a two-character numeric priority for each Absence Entitlement Payment Band within an Absence Grouping and Seniority (Length of Service) banding.
The Absence Entitlement Payment Band rules are processed one by one. The ORDER in which they are processed is very important. The PRIORITY field and NOT the sequence number field defines the order in which these Absence Entitlement Payment Bands will be processed.
If your scheme encompasses OSP and OMP, then it is possible that this Sequence Number will run across Absence Entitlement Bands, but the PRIORITY must be correct within each set of rules.
Example
Scheme: ABS
Rule 1: Starters
Seq No 1 Full Pay Sick Priority 1
Seq No 2 Half Pay Sick Priority 2
Seq No 3 Full Pay Ind. Priority 1
Seq No 4 Half Pay Ind. Priority 2
Seq No 5 Full Pay Mat. Priority 1
Seq No 6 Half Pay Mat. Priority 2
Rule 2 : Others
Seq No 1 Full Pay Sick Priority 1
Seq No 2 Half Pay Sick Priority 2
Seq No 3 Full Pay Ind. Priority 1
Seq No 4 Half Pay Ind. Priority 2
Seq No 5 Full Pay Mat. Priority 1
Seq No 6 Half Pay Mat. Priority 2
