Definition

This field contains a two-character numeric identifer for each Limit Rule. The Limit Rules are then available for selection when you Create Absence Evaluation Scheme Rules in the OxP IMG.

Against each Entitlement Band rule (for a specific seniority band and age band) it is possible to define two Limit Rules:

• The first limit rule is used to ensure that an employee never returns to a higher payment rate part-way through an absence. The first rule is processed without any warning messages being issued.
• The second limit rule is used to apply the "One Year in Four" rule. That is, the previous four years are checked to ensure that an employee has not already had one year's entitlement of either Full or Half pay in the last four years.

  The second rule is processed with warning messages that are issued when the limit is reached for the first time in an absence.
