Short text
Absence valuation rule.
Definition
The absence valuation rule describes absences based on the business demands made of absence valuation in payroll accounting.
Use
The absence valuation rule also influences which figures are used for statistical and cost accounting purposes in that it specifies an assignment to particular value categories. Examples of value categories are paid leave, unpaid leave and unpaid sickness.
Absences can be cumulated according to the value categories for further evaluations in cost assignment and for statistics and factoring.
Note:
Valuation rules should be set up in standard customising. The Valuation Rule are set up in Standard customising using tables T554L, T554C and then specifically customised for the requirements of an Absence Evaluation Scheme in the OxP img, in the step Attach Payment Band Valuation Rule Groupings.
Example
This valuation rule is used specifically to mark and process "Complete" days of absence. A complete day is when the whole day is covered by one Entitlement Absence Band, for example, Full Pay Sickness. If a day is not covered by one band, but by more than one band, then the day of absence will be considered a "part" day.
Your Absence Payment Scheme will incorporate Absence Payment Bands, for example, Full Pay Sickness or Half Pay Maternity.
