Definition

This field is automatically filled from table T5GPBS23 and contains a six-digit numeric used in conjunction with a Time Unit to define the amount of entitlement allowed in the history "window" that is checked for "used" entitlements.

Notes:

  • The history "window" is defined by T5GPBS23 by using a "From Where" rule (T5GPBS20) and a "How Far Bck/Fwd" rule (T5GPBS21). It is a period or amount of employment history that is checked for used entitlements. This can be re-defined on a daily basis and some customers prefer to see it as a "window" - in the sense that absence history visible in the "window" is checked, but anything else is ignored.
  • Used entitlements are entitlements that have already been used at a certain point of time.

For example, if an employee has not taken sick leave in the period under consideration, then he or she retains a full entitlement. Otherwise, an employee has taken sick leave and has used some of his or her sick leave entitlement. For this employee, for any subsequent period of sickness, this portion of already used entitlement may have an effect on remaining entitlement and it may not. This depends on whether that previous sickness lies within the "Window" checked for used entitlements when the employee's current sickness absence is processed.
