Definition
A Shift Worker is an employee who is contracted to work a shift pattern that cannot be simply be described using a seven day repeating pattern.
This field needs to be entered if you have shift workers and you also have defined the entitlement amounts in your Scheme Rules using the Entitlement Amount Unit 'E11', Entitlement Weeks.
An Entitlement Week implies an employee will receive the number of working days in their Personal Work Schedule.
In this way, two groups of employees can receive 11 weeks of entitlement even though one group works four days a week and the other five days. One will receive 44 days the other 55 days, but the latter group will reduce their entitlement faster.
The options for this are as follows:
- No shift workers are covered by this a scheme. Reports an error if Entitlement Weeks are used for a Shift Worker.
- Derive their entitlement from their Standard Hours (Standard Working Hours table (T510I)).
- Derive their entitlement from their Standard Days (Standard Working Hours table (T510I)).
- Derive their entitlement from their Weekly Working Hours (Planned Working Time infotype (0007)).
- Derive their entitlement from their Weekly Working Days (Planned Working Time infotype (0007)).
- Derive their entitlement from their Standard Hours without proration (Standard Working Hours table (T510I)).
- Derive their entitlement from their Standard Days without proration (Standard Working Hours table (T510I)).
- Derive their entitlement from their Weekly Working Hours without proration (Planned Working Time infotype (0007)).
- Derive their entitlement from their Weekly Working Days without proration (Planned Working Time infotype (0007)).
