Creation of Magnetic Media for End-of-Year (EOY) Reporting
The Create Temse file for MagMedia option initiates the creation of the appropriate record types for Magnetic Media EOY output. The created file will display each record type (1, 2, 3 and 4) separately via an SAP List Viewer (ALV) list.
If you choose this option, an appropriate TemSe file is created as this will be the source from which you generate your Magnetic Media return. (The TemSe file name is HR_CMAGG0_yyyyyyyyyy, where yyyyyyyyyy is a internal sequential number allocated automatically by the SAP system)
It is possible to load and display the Magnetic Media TemSe solely by reading the data from external sources.
The Magnetic Media data display does not show the figures with leading zeros. In this format, the display enables you to check the fields for correct data. However, the raw data on the file is set in the correct data format as outlined in the Inland Revenue documents CA51and CA52.
Note:
You can only produce a Magnetic Media EOY output for one MagMedia permit number at a time. Therefore, you must select via the tax reference when producing a Magnetic Media EOY return.
