Definition

This modifier is used in the calculation of the salary part enterable in the garnishment.
It is used to identify the areas and subareas of the personnel (company, branch) to which the same official remuneration level scale is applied.
These levels are defined legally, but may vary depending on the territorial field of application, in

• their number,
• their upper limits,
• the deduction rates applicable for the garnishment.

As a result, metropolitan France has six salary levels for the garnishment, whereas New Caledonia has seven.

The association enters an area/subarea couple for the personnel and a given garnishment modifier is performed in table T5F1P.
