Definition

In order to declare unpaid absences in S48.G16.05 Unpaid Absence Time, it is important to first identify a compensation range for an absence quota. Statutory compensation guarantees for employees during non-productive time stipulate the payment of a percentage of their salary as compensation. This percentage depends on the length of the absence and so there are several compensation ranges.

Use

Enter the absence quotas for which pay is not fully continued. The absences deducted from these quotas are posted as days which have not been fully paid. If you do not populate this field, only grace days and unpaid days are posted as days which have not been fully paid.

Example

Compensation for a sick employee is calculated

  • at a rate of 90% for an initial period of 30 days (following a grace period of 10 days)
  • at a rate of 66.66% for a second period of 30 days.

This field may contain

  • the value M1 to identify the initial period of continued pay at 90%.
  • the value M2 to identify the second period of compensation at 66%.
