Definition

Controls whether a plan is activated or deactivated, based on the existence of an infotype or subtype.

Use

You select the activation status that applies if an infotype (and subtype if required) has been specified, as follows:

  • If you want to activate the plan when an infotype exists, and deactivate it when an infotype does not exist, select Activate Plan. All combinations for an activated plan can be changed.
  • If you want to deactivate the plan when an infotype exists, and activate it when an infoype does not exist, select Deactivate Plan. All combinations for a deactivated plan are read-only.

There are other factors, such as payroll status or settlement status, which can also lead to the deactivation of a benefit plan.

Note that a combination of an activated plan with a deactivated plan is read-only.

Dependencies

You have defined an infotype that is relevant for a benefit plan's activation status in the Infotype Dependent field.

If required, you have defined a subtype that is relevant for a benefit plan's activation status in the Subtype Dependent field.

Example

You want to deactivate a company bike plan when a Company Car (0442) infotype exists.
