Definition
In certain cases, it is desired to evaluate the duration of several attendance/absence records. In the Reporting absence (RPLWPAN0) report, two cases can be distinguished:
- Reporting sick in the framework of the Eligibility for Permanent Invalidity Benefit (Restrictions) Act
When sicknesses follow each other with a distance of less than the sickness relation period (constant PWREL from table T511K), they are legally regarded as one sickness. These types of sicknesses are called related sicknesses.
In this case, the Total number of calendar days of several records field displays the sum of the calendar days of the relevant record plus the number of calendar days of the previous related records. This also happens when the previous records are no longer (completely) within the selection period. - Reporting absence with Attendance/absence codes
Here, no attendances/absences are coupled with the aid of a relation period. However, it is possible that several records with the same attendance/absence code overlap the selection period. In this case, the Total number of calendar days of several records field displays the sum of the number of calendar days of the relevant record plus the number of calendar days of the previous records with this code that at least overlap with the selection period.
