Definition

In the Reporting absence (RPLWPAN0) report, this field displays the total number of calendar days of the different records that are relevant for the selection period. Two cases can be distinguished:

  • Reporting sick in the framework of the Eligibility for Permanent Invalidity Benefit (Restrictions) Act
When sicknesses follow each other with a distance of less than the sickness relation period (constant PWREL from table T511K), they are legally regarded as one sickness. They can be called related sicknesses.
In this case, the Total number of workdays of several records relevant for the selection field displays the number of workdays of the relevant record up to and including the last day of the selection period plus the number of workdays of the previous related records. The workdays of the record that fall after the selection period are not relevant and are not counted.
  • Reporting absence with Attendance/absence codes
Here, no attendances/absences are coupled with the aid of a relation period. However, it is possible that several records with the same attendance/absence code overlap the selection period. In this case, the Total number of workdays of several records relevant for the selection field displays the sum of the number of workdays within the selection period of the relevant record, plus the number of workdays within the selection period of the previous records with this code.
