Documentation
Definition
Indicates that the employee is classified as a part-time employee. According to the Dutch Customs and Tax Authority's definition, an employee is classified as part-time if he or she usually works less than five days per week.
Use
You select this checkbox if the employee works part-time, according to the authority's definition.
Dependencies
Whether an employee is classified as part-time affects the following:
- Calculation of taxes and social insurance contributions in some situations (effective from 2008)
- Small Job Regulation (effective from 2010)
Example
An employee who works nine hours per day, and four days per week is considered a part-time employee.
An employee who two hours per day, and five days per week is considered a full-time employee.
