Definition
Use
You use this field to identify the relationship between legal persons in case of a company break-up or company merge, regarding:
- The Transitional Rule for SI Exemption
- The calculation of the annual salary for special tax rate if you use the Batch Input Session for Initializing Fiscal Data (0060) Infotype (RPIBBLN0) report.
If you use this field in case of a company merge, you enter in this field the legal person code of the company to which the existing companies merge.
If you use this field in case of a company break-up, you enter in this field the legal person code of the company that is being broken up.
If you use this field in case of a company merge and a later break-up (or vice-versa), you have to reflect the relationship between the legal persons in a consistent way. That means, either you use this field to identify the predecessor of the company merge and later break-up, or you use this field to identify the successor of the company merge and later break-up.

Example
Assume that legal person 0001 is splitted into AAAA, BBBB and CCCC as of April 1st, 2011. You enter the following codes in this field:
REPER Start Date End Date Successor
0001 01.01.2001 31.03.2011
AAAA 01.04.2011 31.12.9999 0001
BBBB 01.04.2011 31.12.9999 0001
CCCC 01.04.2011 31.12.9999 0001
Assume that legal persons 0001 and 0002 merge into legal person AAAA as of April 1st, 2011. You enter the following codes in this field:
REPER Start Date End Date Successor
0001 01.01.2001 31.03.2011 AAAA
0002 01.01.2001 31.03.2011 AAAA
AAAA 01.04.2011 31.12.9999
Assume that legal person 0001 and legal person AAAA merge to 0001 as of April 1, 2011. On July 1, a part of legal person 0001 splits off into BBBB. You have two possibilities to customize this:
- You use this field to identify the predecessor in both cases (that means, the legal persons that existed before the merge and the break-up):
REPER Start Date End Date Successor
0001 01.01.2001 31.12.9999 AAAA
AAAA 01.01.2001 31.03.2011
BBBB 01.07.2011 31.12.9999 0001
- You use this field to identify the successor in both cases :
REPER Start Date End Date Successor
0001 01.01.2001 31.03.2011 BBBB
AAAA 01.01.2001 31.03.2011 0001
BBBB 01.07.2011 31.12.9999
