Definition
The country of residence factor is the ratio between the average expenditure for healthcare in the country of residence and the average expenditure for healthcare in the Netherlands. As of 2007, the country of residence factor of the country where the insured party lives will be taken into consideration during the calculation of contributions for the Health Care Insurance Board (HCIB). The country of residence factor is to be taken from the HCIB transfer file.
