Definition

This code specifies the data density of the data carrier.

The following values can be entered:

  • '2' floppy disk, CD-ROM
  • '3' 1600 bpi
  • '4' 6250 bpi
  • '5' 38K (cartridge 3480 3490)
  • '6' 76K (cartridge 3490E)
  • '7' cartridge 4 mm DAT, format DDS or DDS2
  • '8' cartridge 8 mm EXABYTE, format 8200 (C) or 8500 (C)

This parameter is validated against the medium code. The following combinations are possible:

Medium Density

  • 11 3
  • 11 4
  • 12 5
  • 13 5
  • 14 6
  • 15 7
  • 16 8
  • 42 2
  • 43 2
  • 60 2
