Definition
The pension contribution can be calculated cumulatively, in which case the pensionable salaries for past payroll periods to date are cumulated and incremented to an annual pensionable salary. Subsequently, the annual contribution is calculated using the standard method. Then the annual contribution is converted to the contribution for the past payroll periods of the current year. Finally, the contributions already paid in the current year are deducted.
Three options exist with reference to cumulative retroactive accounting:
- 0 No Cumulative Retroactive Accounting
- 1 End of year and end of employment cumulative retroactive accounting
- 2 Always perform cumulative retroactive accounting
