Definition

This specifies the employee's number of employment years.

Dependencies

The number of employment years is relevant if the employee receives a voluntary severance pay. During the payroll run, the voluntary severance pay is taxed with 6% as long as its total does not exceed a quarter of the earnings during the previous 12 months. The following employment years/voluntary severance pay combinations are also taxed with 6%:

5 years     3/12 of the current earnings in the last 12 months

10 years     4/12 of the current earnings in the last 12 months

15 years     6/12 of the current earnings in the last 12 months

20 years     9/12 of the current earnings in the last 12 months

25 years     12/12 of the current earnings in the last 12 months

Procedure

If you create a record for Specification When Leaving A infotype 0527, the system gives you a default value for this field. It represents the number of years the employee worked for your company in the last employment relationship. The years during which the employee worked for another company are not included in the default values. Thus, ensure that your default value is correct.
