Definition
The tax class is the employment tax class according to §38b EStG (Income Tax Law).
It is entered on the employee's tax card in the case of unrestricted tax liability. In the case of restricted tax liability, it is entered on the statement in accordance with §39d(1) EStG (Income Tax Law).
