Definition

For the validity range of the ATV (Collective Agreement for Pension), section 39 paragraph 1 must be observed: If an employee:

  1. Has not reached the age of 55 by 31.12.2001
  2. Has taken out voluntary insurance
  3. First receives remuneration above the BAT-I(-0) threshold in 2002

the employer has to pay an additional contribution to the voluntary insurance for the amount of the remuneration that exceeds this threshold.

Use

To pay the employee such an additional contribution to his or her voluntary insurance, the employee must be assigned a contract model that contains a corresponding module defined in Customizing for the German Pension Reform. This module must also contain the percentage 8% (2002 status). In payroll, the proportion of remuneration above the BAT-I-(0) threshold, which is liable to supplementary pension contributions, is entered in wage type /2C0. This wage type can be used as the base wage type for the module. Wage type /2C1 is to be used as the statement wage type.

Dependencies

A corresponding module must be defined in Customizing for the German Pension Reform and used in a contract model. This contract model must be assigned to the relevant employee in infotype 699 for the voluntary insurance.
