Definition

If the employer pays company pension scheme contributions for the employee into a company insurance or pension fund, the employee must handle these contributions in accordance with tax and SI regulations. To accommodate this inflow, these contributions financed by the employer are included in the total gross amount.

This field is only relevant for customers of Public Sector Germany.

Use

In supplementary pensions, the employer contributions are the supplementary benefits paid into a pension fund that are financed by the employer. If you do not want the contributions to be included in the total gross amount, you must set this switch. The switch does not affect the compulsory contribution amounts payable in the event that a supplementary pension institute is financed at least in part by contribution amounts.

If you activate the switch, make sure that you adjust your remuneration statement accordingly (references relate to template remuneration statement DFKA):

  • Printing of the ER contributions, for example, with line type 05 instead of 02 (window F1, group 05, wage types Y5R1, Y5R2, and Y5R3).
  • The deduction wage types for the ER contributions cannot be printed, for example, with conversion 00 and rule 05 (window F1, group 30, wage type Y5R0).
