Definition
Indicator for generating the wage type for the structure equalization
Use
You use this indicator to specify how the structure equalization wage type is generated and saved in infotype 8 (Basic Pay). Normally, it is generated only if an entitlement to the structure equalization payment is expected due to the parameters currently set (in particular, the progression indicator).
If you activate the indicator for the enhanced generation, the check required for this is carried out irrespective of the progression indicator. This means that even if the pay scale structure equalization table contains entries for other parameters that include any progression indicator, the wage type is generated.
Further notes
If the progression indicators can be determined correctly when the report is run (due to case group functionality configured or use of BAdIs), the indicator should not be set. If the progression indicator is changed retroactively in infotype 8, the structure equalization wage type may have to be added manually.
However, if the progression indicator is primarily maintained using infotype 8 after the report has run, the wage type is stored for all personnel cases that come into consideration. This can lead to a numerous wage types being set superfluously. Due to the indirect valution, this effect is only cosmetic, however.
