Definition

The guaranteed payment class is derived by means of table T5D5LN from the parameters of the new collective agreements TVoeD and TV-L in the same way as the cost-of-living allowance class, which is derived in the "old" collective agreements such as BAT and BMT-G II by means of table T5D5L from the pay scale type, area, indicator, and group parameters. In contrast to the cost-of-living allowance class, however, the guaranteed payment class is a technical concept rather than a pay scale-related concept. Together with the cost-of-living allowance class, the guaranteed payment class is used as the key for determining guaranteed payment components from the cost-of-living allowance or family-related bonus by means of table T510QN.

Use

Guaranteed payment classes are assigned to the pay scale groups in TVoeD and TV-L by means of table T5D5LN. The amounts for the components (child component, child increase amounts, and so on) in table T510QN are expected in connection with the cost-of-living allowance class from table T5D5L (from the old pay scale data in the backup table).

Dependencies

If a guaranteed payment class is assigned to a pay scale type by means of table T5D5LN, the guaranteed payment is valuated using the new technique, that is, the correlative entries must also be available in table T510QN. If an assignment of this type has not been made, the valuation takes place as usual using the old pay scale parameters from table T510Q (if necessary by means of table T5DPBS3E).

Assignment are not made by means of table T5DPBS3E within the new calculation.

Example

In the standard SAP system, appropriate designations such as "TVOED BUND W" or "TVOED VKA O E10-E15" are used for guaranteed payment classes.

Amounts are basically determined as follows:

  • Read table T5D5L with the old pay scale data from the backup table and note the cost-of-living allowance class.
  • Read table T5D5LN with the new pay scale data (valid at the time of valuation and note the guaranteed payment class).
  • Determine the amounts for the cost-of-living allowance components
  • Using the cost-of-living allowance class and guaranteed payment class from table T510QN.
