Definition

This indicator defines how the entitlement can affect the default period for the basis calculation.
It is particularly important if the resulting basis values are to be used to calculate an average.

Input values

• 1: The complete period is taken into account in the determination of basis data.
• 2: Only periods that, according to the entitlement status, are relevant for the valuation are used to calculate the average.
• 3. All periods are valuated from the start of the entitlement.

Example

Average from 3 periods, for example, 01.01.1997 - 31.12.1997. Ten entitlement months have been valuated within this period and the entitlement was stopped for 2 months. Contributions of DEM 1200 have been paid for the 10 valuated months.

This creates the following basis values:
Indicator 1: 1200.- DM for 12 months
Indicator 2: 1200.- DM for 10 months

If an average value was then calculated, the following average basis values would result:

Indicator 1: 100.- DM
Indicator 2: 120.- DM
