Definition
The pension calculation program valuates entitlements starting from a relevant date that is usually determined automatically from the program execution time. The relevant date is the starting date for the valuation period for the entitlement and defines the key date for the entitlement rules.
An entry in this field overrides the date that is automatically determined by the system.
Example
The pension start date is determined as the relevant date for a retirement pension. The entitlement is valuated up to the day before the pension start.
The relevant date for vested entitlements carried over from a previous employment relationship can be set to the former leaving date. The entitlement is valuated up to the day before this date.
Notes
This date can be set automatically when the vesting check takes place.
