Definition

A benefit type represents a form of benefit that can result from an entitlement from a company pension organization.

Examples

An employee is entitled to receive pension benefits for a company pension scheme. This entitlement has been guaranteed.
If the employee becomes an invalid, he or she receives an invalidity pension instead of a retirement pension. This benefit type (invalidity) pension results from the entitlement.

Dependencies

Benefit types can only be guaranteed via an entitlement and not via a direct assignment to an employee.
