Definition
The evaluation of the absence valuation for leave fund method determines the number of employment days and subsequently the amount of leave entitlement.
Employment days are those days with the indicators 'A', 'C', 'D', 'L', 'M', 'O', 'P', 'Q', and 'V'.
Adjustment amounts for sickness, industrial accidents and military service are paid for days flagged with the indicators 'D', 'M', or 'V'.
If the industrial employee does not receive an adjustment amount for illness or for an industrial accident, these days no longer count as employment days. They are flagged with 'E' or 'N'.
Days flagged with 'U' and 'F' are not generally counted as employment days.
The following applied up to December 31, 1998:
Days valuated with 'B', 'K' or 'W' are not included in the employment days for the current period. If they are at the end of the period, the days may be included in the subsequent period.
