Documentation
Definition
The attributes of a value credit represent characteristics of that value credit that do not directly affect the calculation of contributions in case of a disruptive event or for forming the income threshold deficits for disruptive events.
Certain indicators are required for documentation reasons, however.
Example
The examples below illustrate cases of when indicators should be used:
- Use for company pension scheme
This indicates that an agreement has been concluded, stating that a value credit that cannot be used for release times is used for the company pension scheme instead, without a disruptive event occurring. This is only allowed, however, if employment ends due to occurrence of a reduction in earning capacity, reaching the age limit at which an old-age pension can be claimed, or death of the employee.
- Acquisition of the value credit by third parties
When an employee purchases a value credit from another employee, it must be flagged as such. This value credit is exempt from tax and SI contributions.
- Semiretirement value credit
The value credit was earned during semiretirement.
- Flextime agreement up to 250 hours
The value credit was earned from a flextime agreement that is limited to 250 hours. If a disruptive event occurs, the value credit is counted for contributions as a non-recurring payment.
- Transfer upon change of employers
The value credit was transferred during a change of employers. The new employer is the debtor for the social insurance contributions.
