Definition
Controls the calculation, assignment, and deduction of contributions for a disruptive event in health insurance.
Use
The HI Key is a partial map of the official contribution group key and is only used internally.
0: No insurance liability
When employees are coded with indicator 0, no HI contributions are calculated in payroll accounting.
1: General contribution
Set the indicator to 1 for employees who had compulsory health insurance in a statutory fund at the time the value credit was accrued.
2: Increased contribution
Set the indicator to 2 for employees who have compulsory health insurance in a statutory fund and who are not entitled to continued pay.
The health insurance funds collect an increased contribution for these employees.
3: Reduced contribution
Set the indicator to 3 for employees who have compulsory health insurance in a statutory fund and who are not entitled to sick pay.
The health insurance funds collect a reduced contribution for these employees.
7: Agricultural HI
Set the indicator to 7 for employees who are mainly farmers and are already insured with an agricultural health insurance fund.
The system only calculates the employers' contribution to health insurance for these employees.
8: Flat rate contribution
Use indicator 8 for low-income employees.
The employer pays the flat rate contribution.
