Definition
Specifies the payroll period up until which a previous year for tax is to be opened.
If the field is empty or filled with 12, the system does not open the tax year automatically for retroactive changes of the previous year due to an ELStAM notification.
If the field is filled, the system reopens the tax year if this period lies before the next payroll period. The system uses the same logic as for the feature DSTLB (Month of Issue of Employment Tax Statement) so that the system does not open the previous year if the input value is 12.
Use
Via the ELStAM procedure, changes to the tax deduction features that are valid for the previous year can be transferred into the system. These changes are always transferred into the master data.
In order for these changes to be effective even after the completion of the tax year in the payroll, the tax year has to be reopened.
