Documentation
Definition
The HI fund category specifies the role of the HI fund, and what the fund does.
- Employee Fund
This can be entered as a HI fund in the social insurance infotype, or be used as a receiving office for the contribution statement. It is also possible to use it for the EDI. However, it is better to create an individual HI fund for this, and to indicate it as an EDI fund.
- Receiving Office for DEUEV Notifications
It can only be used as a receiving office for DEUEV messages.
- Receiving Office for Contribution Statements
Normally, the HI fund is the receiving office responsible for all social insurance contributions, from which the health insurance is processed (that is, the employee fund).
Employers with central payroll operations can pay the respective health insurance contribution directly to the state and federal associations. Select this indicator for this type of HI fund.
- EDI Fund
If the HIF contribution statements are transmitted using EDI, you should set up an individual HI Fund and select this indicator.
- Locked Health Insurance Fund
If a HI Fund merges, you must delimit the fund in the social insurance infotype. You must delimit the entry in the table from the start of the merger with this indicator type. In this way, it is no longer possible to enter this HI fund in to the social insurance infotype.
