Definition
Actions that are not accompanied by master data changes relevant to DEUEV can trigger a DEUEV notification reason if this indicator is set.
At this time, the following indicators are defined:
1 'Start of employment'
This indicator triggers a registration with reason 10 (DUEVO: 00/0).
2 'End of employment'
This indicator triggers a deregistration with reason 30 (DEUVO: 20/2).
3 'End of employment because of death'
This indicator triggers a deregistration with reason 49 (DUEVO: 20/9).
This is the only way of creating a deregistration for someone who has died.
4 'Change in work relationship'
This indicator triggers a registration and deregistration for other reasons. In DEUEV, they are reasons 13 and 33. In DUEVO, they are notification records 20/4 and 00/1.
5 'Change of company'
This indicator triggers a deregistration and a registration for starting and ending a work relationship. (DEUEV: 10 and 30, DUEVO: 20/2 and 00/0).
In DUEVO, this indicator only triggered a notification if the legal person for the work center actually changed in master data. In DEUEV, however, this indicator always triggers a deregistration and registration. Moreover, DEUEV automatically recognizes a change of legal person, so this indicator is probably required in exceptional circumstances only.
6 'Change of payroll system'
This indicator triggers a deregistration with reason 36 (DUEVO: 20/4). It is used if the payroll runs for the employee in question in a different payroll system when the action is performed.
7 'Special registration (other reasons)'
After a deregistration with reason 36, this indicator triggers the subsequent registration because of a change of payroll system. This registration must be effected with 'general' reason 13 (registration for other reasons, DUEVO: 00/1).
At the start of payroll accounting in an SAP System, this registration is usually triggered by the 'Special registration' indicator in infotype 0341 (DEUEV start). For this reason, an action with DEUEV indicator 7 must only be used if 'real' hiring actions are used at the start of production for technical reasons. In this situation, notification reasons 10 and 13 occur simultaneously, which means that registrations with reason 10 are always created.

'Numerical' action indicators relate to a specific point in time. 'Alphabetical' action indicators, however, relate to periods. For the duration of the action, the payroll day string evaluated in DEUEV (with the DEUEV absence indicators) is filled with the appropriate indicator.
The indicator is used if employees are transferred by the action to an inactive work relationship (which prevents you from entering absences) and DEUEV notifications are still required (such as when once-only payments are effected).
Note: The indicators are only valid for the duration of the corresponding action in infotype 0000. SAP does not recommend the use of these action indicators. They should only be used in emergencies.
