Definition
Rounding Tolerance Percent is the percent at which a programmatic adjustment of a volume is considered unacceptably large.
For example, programmatic adjustments are made to ensure that MMS OGOR-A, -B, and -C volumes balance with each other as is required by the MMS. Usually these adjustments are made because of rounding errors, and, thus, will be relatively small. Because the adjustments are made by the program "behind the scenes", large adjustments, signifying possible incorrect mapping/configuration, could go unnoticed by the user without a warning.
By setting the Rounding Tolerance Percent the customer determines what percent is considered "unacceptably large". If this tolerance percent is exceeded, a warning message will be issued by the Regulatory Report program indicating that an "unacceptably large" adjustment had been made. The warning is only informational to the user and does not change the report results.
NOTE: IF THE ROUNDING TOLERANCE PERCENT IS NOT MAINTAINED, OR THE ROUNDING TOLERANCE PERCENT IS SET TO ZERO, NO ROUNDING TOLERANCE WARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED.
The percentage is entered in the "Tol Pct" field per company(ORG1), such that 10.5% would be entered as "10.5".
