Documentation
Definition
A numeric code that identifies the purpose of a reported line. It also determines which fields on the line must be completed.
This is used if you want to manually put a transaction code on a record for which the system does not automatically generate a transaction code. Typically, this is useful for creating transportation lines (transaction code 11), processing lines (transaction code 15), or estimated payments (transaction code 03).
The system will automatically create transaction codes 10 (when the compensatory royalty flag is checked), transaction code 06 (when the royalty in kind flag is checked), transaction code 01, transaction code 12 (when a tax credit exists), and transaction code 14 (when a tax reimbursement exists). The system will also generate Indian recoupable balances (transaction code 50 for instances when the royalty value coming through the system is negative) and Indian Recoupments Taken (transaction code 51).
When the override flag is used, the system will always use the override instead of the automatic assignment of transaction codes.
