Definition

The financial posting period (financial booking period).

It is the posting date - the month when the posting for the underlying transaction was posted, not the sales (production) date.

The format for this field is: MM/YYYY. For example, December, 2000 is represented in this field as 12/2000. The period that you choose has to be 'open' for it to be accepted by the system, it cannot be a period that is "closed" in the Accounting Cycle Table (table OIUH_RV_CYC).

Typically, three periods will be open at any given time (to include the current month, plus two).
