Definition
The alternate address type for business associate allows you to define alternate address types that can be used in addition to the standard address for a business associate.
For example, for a single business associate, there could be a standard address which is used for billing purposes, along with other purposes, but you could also create a separate address type and address for balancing purposes. When balancing is then carried out involving that business associate, the balancing statement is then sent to that address instead of the standard address for that business associate.
The available address types are customized in the IMG under SAP Reference IMG --> Industry Solution Oil & Gas (PRA) --> Ownership --> Business Associate --> Maintain Additional Business Associate Address Types.
