Definition

This is the accounting period of the first successful posting of the check. Typically all the detail lines for a check post together in one processing batch. In this case the first accounting period is the accounting period for both the check and the cash lines.

However, if some lines are suspended when the check is posted for the first time, this is the accounting period for the cash booking and all the lines which got posted along with cash.

The suspended lines can potentially get processed in a different accounting period.
