Error or warning indicator when unapproved vcrs are found
Use
When new VCRs are created, there may be unapproved VCRs related to the new VCR based on the key or formula. These unapproved VCRs may have already been used in the VL/RD post process. If this is the case, the use of the new VCR in the VL/RD post process may result in a double-booking.
This configuration setting has been provided to prevent or reduce the occurrence of this scenario. There are three settings available:
Error - An error will be displayed on the VCR window in create mode and the new VCR cannot be saved. The user must first determine the final disposition of the related unapproved VCRs, i.e. delete or re-approve. Deleting the unapproved VCR will initiate a VCR delete PPN. When processed through VL/RD, the VCR delete PPN will result in a reversal of the previous posting.
Warning - A warning will be displayed on the VCR window in create mode but the user will have the option of bypassing the warning. If bypassed, the new VCR will be created.
None (blank) - The functionality is not active. An error or warning will not be generated.
